Who is Eligible to Apply?

Age Limit & Rules Minimum 17 years completed as on 31st December 2027

Age: Minimum 17 years as on 31st December 2026.
Educational Qualification: 10+2 with English and minimum 40% marks from a recognised board.
Vocational ANM: 10+2 with English and 40% marks in a recognised vocational ANM course.
Healthcare Science: 10+2 with English and 40% marks in the vocational Healthcare Science stream.
Registered ANM: Registered ANM candidates with passing marks are also eligible.
SC/ST Relaxation: 5% relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks is applicable.
Medical Fitness: Candidate must be medically fit.

UPGET GNM is an entrance examination for admission to the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course for eligible candidates.

The minimum age is 17 years. The candidate must be 17 years old on or before 31 December 2027.

No. Science stream or PCB is not compulsory under the regular eligibility route. However, Science may be preferable.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 / Class 12 with English from a recognized board.

Candidates generally need a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination. English must also be passed separately.

6. Are NIOS students eligible for UPGET GNM?

Yes. SC/ST candidates are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the total marks requirement, as per the stated eligibility criteria.
